Terrace restroom installation with steel structure and sandwich panels

A centrally located Barcelona hotel required restroom facilities on its rooftop terrace, which had become a highly popular venue. The aim was to prevent guests from accessing interior hotel spaces to use sanitary facilities.

The project included one accessible restroom, one standard restroom, a standalone washbasin and a privacy partition. Units were built with black-painted steel structure and grey sandwich panels, matching the hotel’s architectural style.

Two technical challenges were addressed: the absence of direct drainage infrastructure on the terrace and the need to lift fully assembled units to the seventh floor. A wastewater pumping system was implemented, and crane-assisted installation ensured safe placement.

The final result delivered a fully operational, aesthetically integrated and ready-to-use sanitary solution.
